Everything from this new Japanese bakery is made in-house, including the Double Fromage Cheesecake, which takes two whole days to make and achieve that layered melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The bakery will be opening for a soft opening on November 7, so be sure to mark your calendar and get down to try it.

Replacing the now-shuttered Milestones Bar & Grill at 1109 Hamilton Street, the farm-to-table steakhouse is called Elisa. The new spot has been under construction for several months and just opened its doors this week.

Sweet Jesus – Metrotown

This Toronto-based soft serve ice cream and treat purveyor just opened at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby. Sweet Jesus Metrotown will be open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. Find it on the ground level of the mall just passed the Superstore entrance.

Tasty Indian Bistro already operates a very successful outpost in Delta, and they unveiled their stunning new Yaletown spot to patrons on October 12. Located at 1261 Hamilton Street, the new eatery is right across from Rodney’s Oyster House.

Local Vancouver chocolate maker Koko Monk has officially opened their second location on October 16. Located at 2883 West Broadway, this is the second outpost for the sweet treat maker. The original Koko Monk, at 1849 West 1st Avenue, has been open since 2013.
