From mouthwatering foodie events to a free two-day ice sculpture festival, here are the top Toronto events for February 19 to 25.

The Bentway Skate Trail Family Day

What: This Family Day, lace up your skates and head to Toronto’s newest outdoor skating destination, The Bentway Skate Trail. Come and enjoy a special Family Day event that includes all-day skate rentals, family-friendly DJ sets by DJ Lucie Tic and
DJ Cozmic Cat, onsite giveaways, and much more.

Eats on King

What: The City of Toronto is launching “Eats on King,” a new program, described as similar to Winterlicious and promoting restaurants in the area of the King Street Pilot project.

When: February 19 to March 29
Where: Participating King West restaurants

Recipe For Change

What: Now in its 9th year, the annual all-you-can-eat event is in support of FoodShare‘s vital food literacy work and school food and farm programs and will bring together 30 of Toronto’s top chefs and restaurateurs for an evening of unlimited feasting.

When: February 22
Where: St. Lawrence Market, (market tent) Toronto

Yoko Ono: The Riverbed

What: Starting this Thursday, you can experience Yoko Ono’s latest art installation The Riverbed at the Gardiner Museum. The Riverbed invites visitors to collaborate with the artist, the museum, and each other through everyday action and contemplation.

When: February 22 to June 3
Where: The Gardiner Museum, 111 Queens Park

Icefest 2018

What: Toronto’s historic Yorkville neighbourhood will be transformed into a showcase of delicate, stunning ice sculptures using over 20,000 lbs of crystal clear ice this weekend. The main event is, of course, the  Sassafraz Ice Carving Competition, which will be taking over the east side of the Village of Yorkville Park.

When: February 24 & 25
Where: Cumberland Street and Bellair Street

Speed Rack

What: Now in its third year, cocktail competition Speed Rack – created for and by female bartenders to promote female bartenders – will see competitors go head to head in round-robin, timed, and judged challenges in the Toronto edition of the national qualifiers.

When: February 25, 3 pm to 5:30 pm
Where: Enercare Center, Exhibition Place, 100 Princes’ Boulevard
