Two of the biggest stars in music are coming to BC in 2024 for huge outdoor music festivals, and fans won’t want to miss out.
Laketown Shakedown, returning on Canada Day weekend from June 28 to June 30, has announced that Gwen Stefani will headline the annual event.
Just a few weeks later on BC Day weekend, from August 1 to 4, Sunfest Country Music Festival will host Keith Urban at the open-air event.
The Cowichan Valley festivals are some of the largest in the province, and tickets for both events go on sale this month.
Both festivals will take place at the 275-acre Laketown Ranch, which features Canada’s largest permanent outdoor stage.
Gwen Stefani is a multi-platinum solo artist and the frontwoman of rock band No Doubt. The three-time Grammy winner has sold more than 60 million albums on the strength of such hits as “Hollaback Girl,” “What You Waiting For?” and “The Sweet Escape.”
Keith Urban has sold over 20 million albums throughout his illustrious career, thanks to hits like “Somebody Like You,” “Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me,” and “The Fighter” with Carrie Underwood. The four-time Grammy winner also performed at the 2019 Grey Cup halftime show in Calgary.
Further artist announcements for both Laketown Shakedown and Sunfest Country Music Festival will be made soon.
