Free outdoor movies Downtown Vancouver 2018 full lineup
Last week, we told you about the new free outdoor movie series coming to šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly Vancouver Art Gallery’s North Plaza) this summer.
Each Wednesday evening from July 4 to August 29, Fresh Air Cinema’s large, four-storey inflatable screen will pop up, creating the perfect urban environment to take in a flick surrounded by the concrete jungle – just be sure to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.
In partnership with the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA), and as the exclusive media partner of the new series, Daily Hive readers had the chance to pick the first movie to be screened this summer.
After readers had their say, the 1984 hit Ghostbusters came out on top and will kick things off!
With the theme of “Cities” for the inaugural series, here’s the complete lineup for the Summer Movie Nights on the Square series.

Summer Movie Nights on the Square
When: Every Wednesday from July 4 to August 29
Time: Activities begin at 5 pm, movie begins at sunset (check sunset times as that will be your best indication of when movies will start)
