Union Station summer market will not return this year

The popular Union Station summer market has announced it’s not returning this year.

While last summer saw 70-days of gourmet street food take over Sir John A. Macdonald plaza in front of Union Station, this year there’s simply too much construction taking place to host the market.

Of course, this also means no outdoor movies either.

And while Toronto isn’t suffering for lack of summer events, not having one of our favourites still hurts.

Union Station summer update

“Due to construction that will take place on the Sir John A. Macdonald plaza in the coming months, the team at Union will not be hosting Union Summer this year. While this will mean a temporary change to our programming, construction takes priority and we are excited about the changing face of Union Station as the revitalization project reaches completion. While there may not be a Union Summer this year, our team is busy planning great programming and special events for the fall. Please stay tuned to our website for further updates on what’s happening at Union.”
