Toronto festival season (AKA summer) is upon us and the number of ways to spend your weekends are about to abruptly multiply.

Back for its sophomore year, the Waterfront Artisan Market kicks off on May 20 and will run every Saturday until the first week in October.

It’s an outdoor festival, presented by The Waterfront BIA and operated by the Scadding Court Community Centre, billed as a “carefully-curated mix of 75 local, up-and-coming artisans, crafters, chefs, and bakers.”

Set lakeside, the weekly festival offers al fresco dining against a stunning backdrop accompanied by live a cappella music covering renditions of classic and modern summer hits.

To eat, expect a sizzling selection of food vendors cooking up everything from Neapolitan pizzas and tocino sliders to jerk-chicken poutine, grilled cheese sandwiches, and more.
