This is what the first day of the Toronto Christmas Market looked like (PHOTOS)

The Toronto Christmas Market kicked off last night with Santa, carolers, and, of course, the lighting of a massive 50 foot Christmas tree, which flooded the space with the glow of its 40,000 twinkling lights.

Running until December 22, the Christmas Market will feature daily entertainment on the outdoor stage, beer gardens, mulled wine and various vendors, all wrapped up in holiday magic.

Climb into your warmest gear and get to the Distillery District for some Christmas cheer!

And these photo are going to make you want to go ASAP.
