If you’ve ever wanted to be a pet owner, now’s your chance.

This weekend, Canadian PetSmart locations will be putting pets in need up for adoption and are encouraging people to adopt as part of National Pet Adoption Weekend.

From February 16 to 18, more than 200 Canadian animal welfare organizations will bring thousands of adorable, adoptable pets into nearly every one of PetSmart’s 130-plus stores across the country.

The event organizers said the goal for this weekend is to find lifelong, loving homes for 1,500 shelter pets, including dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, guinea pigs, and rabbits.

Adoption Hours

February 16 and 17, 9 am to 9 pm

February 18, 10 am to 6 pm

Regardless of which type of pet you choose to adopt, or where you adopted from, all new pet owners will receive a free adoption kit that provides important content that helps to integrate a new pet into the family.

By adopting, you can save a life all while enriching your own. So if you’ve been considering bringing home a little fur ball, there’s no better time than this weekend.
