Smoke a legal joint
What: October 17 is the day of the Canada-wide legalization of recreational cannabis. While you won’t be able to smoke, eat, or otherwise ingest cannabis in public, you’re more than free to do so in the comforts of your own home!

Hang out with the Pandas
What: The long wait is finally over. The Calgary Zoo has officially welcomed four pandas (two adults and two cubs), into their newly built habitat, The Panda Passage. These furry black and white friends are charming and have a ton to teach us in the five years that they will be with us before returning to China. There is also a new panda cam program so you can check in on your furry friends from anywhere!
