While Vancouverites grapple with hazy skies and air quality advisories (similar to much of BC), they can at least take comfort in a new way to entertain themselves.

That is, marvelling at NASA images of the smoky haze from space, while they hide indoors waiting for this all to blow over.

On its website, NASA has released satellite imagery of the wildfire smoke over Vancouver; the agency’s timelapse footage can be found here.

While it’s a unique perspective on the massive scope of the situation, it’s worth noting the air quality advisory affecting the city has been extended again.

So it looks like this haze isn’t shifting off your skies (or computer screens) any time soon.
