Hawkers Market: With Special Guests Stones Throw Records

What: Described as the  “ultimate local food and indie music festival,” the market will feature over 50 Hawker food experiences including dishes from award-winning chefs like Alex Chen (Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar) and Eva Chin (Royal Dinette). For music, market attendees can listen to the stellar sounds of Peanut Butter Wolf (founder and head of Stones Throw Records) and J Rocc (one of the original turntablists who founded the Beat Junkies in 92).

Onesie Bar Crawl Vancouver

We Love Pub Crawls/Facebook

What: We Love Pub Crawls is bringing a onesie bar crawl to Vancouver this fall. The crawl takes place on Saturday, November 17, and will take participants on a comfy, drink-centric crawl to more than five venues. Themed DJ parties will take over several stops, with music from the 80s, 90s, 2000s and a neon party. Perks of joining the event include having all cover charges waived, free LED memorabilia, exclusive food and drink specials at every stop, and a photographer and videographer capturing every moment of the party.

Julmarknad – Swedish Christmas Market

What:  Swedish Cultural Society’s 2018 Swedish Christmas Market features two days of holiday gift shopping for others and yourself. Coffee, drinks, sandwiches and pastries will be available for purchase.

The Secret Life of Trees Walking Tour

What: A walking tour around Port Coquitlam’s beautiful downtown parks and gardens. Hosted by PoCo Heritage Trees and is part of the collaborative The Secret Life of Trees exhibit.

Fifth Annual Team Keian Bottle Drive

What: Team Keian will be holding a Bottle Drive at Real Canadian Superstore Langley, with all proceeds raised going to support families affected by childhood cance. During the past four years, Team Keian has had the pleasure of bringing joy and financial relief to many incredible oncology families, as well as over 9100 toys, by way of Keian’s Holiday Wish Toy Drive to BC Children’s Hospital and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

Heart to Home Holiday Market

Roger Hodgson

What: Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Roger Hodgson brings his legendary voice to River Rock Casino. Hodgson co-founded the iconic rock band Supertramp, and wrote most of the band’s classic hits including “Dreamer,” “Give a Little Bit,” “The Logical Song,”,“Take the Long Way Home,” and “It’s Raining Again.”

Photomotion

What: Each November the Pacific Digital Photography Club produces “ Photomotion”, a compendium of members’ digital slide/sound shows. Contents of the shows are up to the individual photographers but are juried for quality by a panel of CAPA judges.
