Uber is delivering FREE ice cream sandwiches in Vancouver tomorrow

Free stuff alert!

Uber Ice Cream is officially hitting Vancouver tomorrow (Friday, August 25) between 11 am and 3 pm to deliver FREE ice cream sandwiches.

Yes, this means you can get ice cream sandwiches delivered to you anywhere in the city when you order using the ride sharing service’s app during the allotted time frame.

The idea is simple, download the Uber app, request the ‘Ice Cream’ option, and once you’re connected all you need to do is wait for the Uber Driver (AKA Uber Mapping Car) to roll up and hand you two delicious offerings from Earnest Ice Cream.

Those who receive these cold treats will also cop some Uber-branded swag like a bag with a pair of sunglasses inside.

For every request, Uber’s going to donate $1 to the Vancouver Sun Adopt a School Meal Program – so really, there’s never been a better time to get in on some free ice cream, friends.

This is the first (and hopefully not the last) time Uber has done this in Vancouver, the company has done it previously in other Canadian spots like Toronto.

While we know ride sharing service Uber isn’t live in Vancouver just yet – the company has recently touched down in our rainy city and began mapping it out for operations, so this Uber-delivered ice cream is just a sweet, sweet taste of what’s to come.
