Water Stories: The global water crisis in pictures

  • What: A photographic exhibition by award-winning photographer Mustafah Abdulaziz highlighting the global water crisis. Over two years, Mustafah captured the effects of urbanization, poor sanitation and pollution in India, water scarcity and contamination in Pakistan, and expanding industry and population in China. The project is a collaboration with Earthwatch, WaterAid and WWF, and is supported by the HSBC Water Programme.

UNIQLO Metrotown Job Fair 2017

  • What: UNIQLO’s is holding a job fair to fill positions at its two-level store space within Metropolis at Metrotown opening this fall. Positions that need to be filled include both part-time and full-time associates, with health benefits. Bring a copy of your resume and availability with you to the job fair.
  • When: July 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22

Red Cat In-Store featuring Milk and The Expos 

  • What: Enjoy yoga, under the trees. Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that is suitable for beginners or students seeking a slower, more meditative practice. Bring a yoga mat, any props you may like to use, and extra layers for cooler weather. In case of rain, class will take place indoors. Meet in the Visitor Centre Entrance Hall 10 minutes early.

Kits in the Park

  • What: This free drop in for children, along with their parents & caregivers includes outdoor play, circle time, sand toys, arts & crafts, playground and spray park. Meet other families, connect with your community, and join the fun! Presented in collaboration with Kits Neighbourhood House and West Side Family Place.
  • When: Mondays and Fridays until August 25 (Except August 7)

Parq Vancouver Resort Job Fairs

  • What: Parq Vancouver, the largest private development in British Columbia, will open with two hotel towers – the 329-room JW Marriott and 188-room DOUGLAS, an Autograph Collection hotel – a casino, and eight restaurants and lounges, and that’s just naming a few of the highlights. Parq Vancouver is looking to recruit more than 1,000 new employees from the community and beyond.
