Ranked as one of the most walkable areas in the Greater Vancouver area, New Westminster offers plenty of outside the box date activities. Located in the heart of the city, New Westminster Station is no exception and is bustling with things to do.
Take a stroll along Front Street to view of the most Instagrammed spots in Vancouver, or head over to the Quay for a dose of the local culture and art scene.
What: Basically a real life version of TV’s show Community. A lively campus crammed full of students (of every age under the sun) going to class and having a great time. Attend a student social or just read books and drink coffee in the library, you’ll fit right in.
Where: 700 Royal Avenue
When: Monday to Friday 6:30 am – 11 pm, Saturday 6:30 am – 7 pm, closed Sunday
What: Easily the most photographed spot in all of New West. A quick walk from the Skytrain, and a beautiful scene rain or shine. For maximum likes try to capture the statues reflection to get that classic X photo.
What: A riverside sanctuary perfect for a full day-long extravaganza. Start off walking the quayside boardwalk, hit up Westminster Pier Park and stop at the River Market for lunch and a daily dose of craft goods and art shopping.
