Ranked as one of the most walkable areas in the Greater Vancouver area, New Westminster offers plenty of outside the box date activities. Located in the heart of the city, New Westminster Station is no exception and is bustling with things to do.

Take a stroll along Front Street to view of the most Instagrammed spots in Vancouver, or head over to the Quay for a dose of the local culture and art scene.

Pretend to be a student at Douglas College

  • What: Basically a real life version of TV’s show Community. A lively campus crammed full of students (of every age under the sun) going to class and having a great time. Attend a student social or just read books and drink coffee in the library, you’ll fit right in.

Chillax at the Padlewheeler Pub

  • What: New West’s best and biggest cinema featuring all the hottest movies all day every day. For the best value hit up a morning show for a reduced admission price.

Visit the New Media Gallery

  • What: A hip happening art gallery displaying rotating exhibitions from local artists. The ideal under the radar date idea to impress that hip city girl you’ve matched with.
