Get a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated Popina Canteen menu tomorrow
What could be the most highly-anticipated food and beverage-related addition to Vancouver this season is getting closer to its opening.
Popina, a project backed by four all-star local chefs including Angus An, Robert Belcham, Hamid Salimian, and Joël Watanabe, is shaping up quickly.
So quickly in fact, that the Popina team is giving patrons a chance to preview their menu tomorrow, July 11.

Starting at 11 am, curious foodies can head to the repurposed shipping containers located on the northwest corner of the island just off the ferry dock to taste some for the “pretty fast food” they’ve been teasing us with on Instagram.
The chefs of Popina Canteen will be previewing the following at market prices:
- Steamed Whole Dungeness Crab
- Steamed Whole East Coast Lobster
- Seafood Trays
Customers will also be able to try Puffcream for the first time ever, it’s the world’s first soft serve cream puff.
First come, first served until quantities run out.
