Now open: Jack Frost Dessert Cafe in Richmond
One of the fastest growing trends in Vancouver is the uprise of specialty dessert cafes.
With a handful of unique concoctions that each cafe comes up with, there’s never any shortage of the sweet and savoury.
The latest spot to bring something eye-catching and tantalizingly sweet to Vancouver’s dessert world is the Jack Frost Cafe: a dessert cafe that specializes in their delicious – and magical – ‘snowfall’.

Located in Richmond, on No. 3 Road, Jack Frost Cafe is celebrating their grand opening from now until Sunday, February 11. The dessert joint features frozen treats of every variety.
Their first menu section, ‘Sweet Snowfall’, includes a handful of different flavours of shaved ice. Red bean, green tea, Oreo, and tiramisu, as well as candy-flavoured dipping dots are all up for grabs, topped with whipped cream and a unique pastry of some sort.

The second section of their menu, ‘Fresh Snowfall’, takes shaved ice and gives it a refreshing upgrade with the use of fresh fruits, the addition of ice cream, and sometimes – cake.
Strawberry shaved ice, mango shaved ice, and blueberry shaved ice are all topped with ice cream and cheesecake.
Their Honey Melon Snowfall and Juicy Watermelon Snowfall are two eye-catching desserts that actually use the fruit for the bowl – and then some.

They’ll also be offering a selection of cakes and pastries, as well as coffee and tea, and are open all week long.
