The Incredible Pie Championship is back this month after a two-year hiatus

After a sad, pie-less two-year hiatus, the Incredible Pie Championship is finally back for 2017!

On August 27, people are invited to head to 6th Avenue – between Ontario and Manitoba in Mount Pleasant – to taste and vote for the best creations submitted based on pre-set categories and criteria.

That’s right, if you arrive and pay a suggested $5-$10 donation, you can enter the tasting arena, receive a ballot to vote, and go forth to experience all the epic pies in this delicious competition.

The categories this year include sweet, savoury, sculptural, vegan, and best in show.

A new addition to the competition is the ‘Mystery Box Challenge’ which is a competition with a competition. A handful of mystery boxes will be filled with surprise ingredients that will be given to successful applicants just a few days before the comp.

Participants will then be required to include all the mystery ingredients in their pies and present them on competition day.

The Incredible Pie Competition is operating alongside the 5th annual SIXFEST, a family friendly street party and mini-festival to celebrate the neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant.
