Over 200 speakers will take part in the 2018 BC Tech Summit this week

Featuring 270 exhibitors and over 200 speakers from across four continents, the 2018 BC Tech Summit looks to bring some of the best in the technology industry to Vancouver.

The three-day long event runs from Monday, May 14 to Wednesday, May 16 and is being held at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Throughout the course of the summit, some of the keynote speakers include John Horgan, Premier of BC, Jared Cohen, CEO of Jigsaw, Brent Bushnell, CEO and co-founder of Two Bit Circus, and Navdeep Bains, Canada’s Minister of Innovation, Science, and Economic Development, to name a few.

Cohen originally founded Google Ideas and has since launched successor arm Jigsaw, a technology incubator for creating and applying technological solutions to global problems.

Bushnell, the leader of an experimental entertainment company coined Two Bit Circus, acts as an industry leader in the world of virtual, mixed, and augmented reality.

His company is responsible for micro amusement parks, robot bartenders, and interactive supper clubs that work in tangent with VR users.

In addition to a number of speakers, the event also features multiple public events that are either free to attend or can be attended separately from the main event.
