Meanwhile, Environment Canada is calling for a high of 32°C (with a humidex value of 42°C). The last time heat reached those heights on a September 5th in Toronto was 73 years ago in 1945 when temperatures hit 31.7°C.
A chance of showers late this evening and overnight thunderstorms should cool things down in the city with a high of 25°C expected for Thursday and a humidex value a full ten degrees lower at 32°C.
