Food and fashion are the perfect pairing in Toronto this fall because Toronto Fashion Week is teaming up with restaurants and bars in Bloor-Yorkville for a new initiative, Style Plate.

Taking place September 4 to 6, the new collaboration will see chefs and mixologists from participating restaurants paired up with select designers to create a unique dish or cocktail inspired by the designer’s collections showing at Toronto Fashion Week.

Find Cibo Wine Bar inspired by HENDRIXROE’s upcoming collection, to offer lemon seared Bay scallops over creamy beet risotto with pea drops along with an effervescent gin and St-Germain cocktail spiked with Contratto.

Meanwhile, at Mark McEwan’s ONE restaurant, Christopher Bates’ collection influences a Canadian-Italian creation featuring PEI Beef Carpaccio complemented by a Rossetto Martini made with raspberry-infused vodka.

Other designer-restaurant pairings include STK channelling Victoria Hayes, Amber drawing inspiration from WRKDEPT, Sofia and NARCES, Sassafraz and ZOFF, Café Nervosa and Hilary MacMillan, Bar Reyna and Christopher Paunil, The Oxley Public House and Namesake, Planta and Triarchy, and Kasa Moto and Tara Rivas.
