Cafe Landwer is a popular Israeli cafe that already boasts dozens of locations in the land of milk and honey, and now a Toronto suburb will soon be home to the first North American branch.

Slated to open in January or February 2017, the cafe is currently undergoing construction while kitchen staff spend time in Israel getting acquainted with the expansive menu stocked with pastries, salads, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas.

Expect the range of offerings to stay 90% true to the original menu in Israel while also incorporating a few tweaks and additions exclusive to the new Canadian market.

Perhaps most unique on Landwer’s menu are the Israeli breakfasts; a signature spread including a choice of eggs with salads, cream cheese, feta, eggplant cream, za’atar dusted labneh, chickpeas, halva, yogurt with granola and honey, jam and butter with warm bread, juice, and a choice of coffee or tea.
