Honey Nut Cheerios hosting free pop-up this weekend in Toronto

Mar 9 2017, 10:13 pm

Honey Nut Cheerios is hosting a pop-up this weekend but rather than showcasing an abundance of food (as post pop-ups do), this two-day event offers an interactive and educational glimpse at what a grocery store of the future could look like.

Part of the #BringBackTheBees campaign that saw 100 million wildflower seeds distributed across Canada last year, this sophomore initiative aims to highlight how “one in three bites of food [would be] missing from store shelves and items that we take for granted [would be] scarce or completely missing,” if bees were to disappear.

Of course, we’re not just talking about the possibility of there being no honey in your Honey Nut cereal, but also, the absence of fresh fruits, vegetables, and all their delicious, delicious, byproducts.

Honey Nut Cheerios Pop-Up

When: March 11 and 12, 10 am to 6pm
Where: 322 Queen Street West, Toronto
Price: Free
