Former First Lady Michelle Obama is in Montreal today

Keep your eyes out for Michelle Obama today, as the former first lady is in Montreal.

The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal will host Obama this evening. She is scheduled to give a speech to a sold-out crowd at 6:30 pm.

“With her principles, leadership and social involvement, Michelle Obama embodies leadership and the will to change; she is a role model for younger generations around the world. She is widely credited with having transformed the role of the First Lady and her involvement in society,” said Michel Leblanc, said president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal in a release.

A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Michelle Obama has been an outspoken champion of gender equality through her charitable work.

She launched her “Let Girls Learn” campaign in conjunction with activist Malala Yousafzai in 2015.

According to the event website, tickets for tonight’s talk are now sold out.
