Jesperi Kotkaniemi just dragged his way to the top of this year’s highlight reel.
Late in last night’s third period, the rookie blew past the the Florida Panthers defence, out-waited goaltender James Reimer and scored a magnificent toe drag goal to help the Canadiens put the game away.

The 18-year-old battled down the left side against Panthers defenceman Mike Matheson, protecting the puck before toe-dragging around Reimer and scoring on a wide-open net.
The Finn’s reaction on his sixth marker of the season made it look like the third overall draft pick does it all the time.
Phillip Danault, Max Domi, Shea Weber, and Brendan Gallagher also scored amidst Antti Niemi’s career-high 52-save performance, locking down the Canadiens’ 26th win of the season.
The Habs will now travel to Columbus for a Friday night tilt between the Blue Jackets.
