Now that summer’s in full swing you’re probably feeling like all you want to do is be outside. After all, Montreal only sees a few months of sun each year. If you’re sick of air conditioning and looking for a way to exercise outdoors that doesn’t involve long, tiring runs, then outdoor yoga may be perfect for you. Several yoga studios in Montreal offer outdoor classes in the summer so you can get toned and flexible whilst hanging out in your favourite park.

Here is a list of yoga studios offering outdoor classes this summer that will keep you fit and full of vitamin D:

Santropol Roulant

What’s better than a rooftop bar? A rooftop yoga studio! Santropol Roulant is hosting rooftop yoga classes all summer, from May 18th until August 4th. Every Saturday there will be two classes, the first from 10 am to 11:30 am aimed at beginners, and the second from 12 pm to 1:30pm for all the intermediate yogis. The courses are run by Montreal-based yoga instructors, Jennifer Krubidos and Justine Romanoff.

Yogasanteplus

Yoga Sante Plus is Montreal’s most underrated yoga studio. Yogasanteplus offers classes for Montrealers of all levels in addition to their personalized yoga classes ranging from prenatal to therapeutic yoga. But the best part about Yogasanteplus are the outdoor classes they offer each summer in Maisonneuve Park. If you’re still not convinced, your first class is free and once you use it up, a class will only cost you $6.

The first class is totally free (or by donation) and classes cost $20 after that. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance, as Nathan’s classes tend to fill up quickly.
