You can get FREE fries from McDonald's every time the Canadiens score first

As if Canadiens fans need another reason to be pumped about getting ahead in hockey games, McDonald’s has sweetened salted the deal for the 2018-19 campaign by giving out free fries every time the Habs score first.

No offense to La Cage’s 5 goals for 8 wings deal but this offer is McSolid. A medium-sized fry is redeemable the day after the Montreal Canadiens score the first goal of the game, valid from 11 am to 4 pm at any McDonald’s restaurant in the province.

Fry-hopefuls need only to download the My McD’s app (no purchase necessary) in order to get the free fries, a relatively easy trade in order to devour McDonald’s famous sides.

The offer is limited to one offer per customer who must be 13 years of age and older. The McGoal deal excludes any meals, pairings or other offers. The deal started on October 3 and will continue throughout the end of the 2019 NHL Playoffs.

Coinciding with the free fries, on Twitter, before each Habs game, fans can participate in a contest to win a $50 McDonald’s gift card by predicting which player will score Montreal’s first goal. Visit the #1stHabsGoal Contest for more rules and information.

Until next game, here’s hoping the Habs get out in front plenty this season.
