More taxis will now be travelling to Montréal–Trudeau airport.

Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) held a random draw today for 350 taxi permits to serve the airport.

The increase of 50 permits will reduce wait times and help meet growing demand.

“The airport is the main gateway to Montréal and tourists’ first point of contact with the city,” said Luc Charbonneau, director, parking and ground transportation, for ADM. “We want this welcome to be a warm one and to reflect Montréal.” Beginning November 1, fully 70% of the fleet will comprise green vehicles.”

The permits are valid from November 1, 2017 to October 31, 2018. The increased fleet will also include 250 “green” energy cars and 100 minivans.

A total of 2,500 drivers applied for a permit to operate a taxi at Montréal–Trudeau.
