YOU COULD WIN UNA FOR LIFE! That’s right folks, this month marks our millionth customer and to celebrate we are hosting the giveaway of a lifetime (literally). We want to hear YOUR stories and special memories of UNA past and present. The prize? $1000 a year of UNA (for life)! To enter: post a photo sharing your favourite UNA memory and TAG #UNA4LIFE . We have been a part of UNA for over 8 years; it was dreamt up after multiple trips to San Francisco where every neighbourhood has a California style pizza place, where neighbours of all ages and demographics gather for food, wine and camaraderie. The original ownership team includes us, Steve Smee (now of Ten Foot Henry) and Gail Norton (Cookbook Co.); the collaboration and time spent building the menu in coffee shops and over food and wine at Gail’s house, are some of our favourite memories from before we opened. Since opening we have had the honour of being part of so many special celebrations with our guests and UNA has really been home to us and so many over the past eight years. The relationships we’ve built with our team, guests, suppliers and community all because of this little restaurant has been the biggest blessing. Because of the continued support of our guests (who often seem more like friends and family after 8 years) we have seen our local suppliers prosper, our team both past and present flourish and our neighbours and community thrive. Dreaming up UNA, we never thought we would see one million people come through our doors, yet here we are. Although it’s impossible to count exactly who that one person would be, we know it will happen sometime over the next 30 days, to say thank you to all of you for all your shared memories in UNA we present UNA4life; a $1,000 gift certificate every year for the rest of UNA’s life…and we aren’t planning on going anywhere.
