The end of the work week is here and there is finally some sunshine to enjoy! Here are some awesome events to help kick start your weekend fun.

Dirty Bingo

A fundraiser for the Calgary Dyke & Trans March, this bingo party will get dirtier at the night progresses. Prizes from Calgary Sexual Health and Venus Envy Ottawa will be up for grabs.

Calgary Ribfest

Get your sticky on at the 1st Annual Calgary Ribfest. From August 25 to 28 experience four awesome days of grilling heaven. Ribs, BBQ chicken, and pulled pork will be headlining the festival, available from six different vendors. There will also be live music, craft beer, wine pairings, and a pulled pork eating contest. Booths for foodie and BBQ demonstrations will also be in site.

Canadian Pacific Women’s Open

156 professionals and amateurs will be in Calgary this week for the 2016 Canadian Pacific Women’s Open (CPWO) taking place at the Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club. This year’s CPWO will include the top 10 players from the current LPGA Official Money List, as well as 34 Olympians. Fresh off her silver medal win in Rio, World No. 1 Lydia Ko from New Zealand will be back to defend her title from 2015.

Brian Regan

American funny man Brian Regan is in Calgary tonight. Regan uses observational, sarcastic, and self-deprecating humor. His performances are relatively clean as he refrains from profanity and off-color humor.

Calgary Night Market 2016

Featuring a variety of ethnic street foods, local vendors, buskers, and entertainment, the Calgary Night Market has everything from jewelry to clothes, to household items. The market is happening on the first and last Fridays of the month until September 9. Admission to the Night Market is free.
