Slush Cup is open to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities with the goal to ski or snowboard down a run and skim across to the end on the pool. A bit too frigid for you? Not to worry, you can enjoy the fails and triumphs of those who dare to brave the ice cold water skim from the sidelines.

“For as long as people have been skiing at Sunshine, they’ve been ending the ski season with the Banff Sunshine Slush Cup,” said Kendra Scurfield Media and Communications Manager. “The origin of Slush Cup came from the early days of Sunshine when the first skiers dared each other to ski down a melting stream. From there, Slush Cup has grown to become the ultimate end of season festival.”

This year there will cash purse awarded to Mr and Mrs. Slush Cup, Biggest Splash, Best Costume, and to the crowd favourite.

Entry to Slush cup is free with a valid lift ticket and registration is open day of only starting at 8:30am in the village outside Ski School desk.
