Summer in Calgary just got a whole lot tastier with the Calgary Ribfest returning for 2018.
The annual event takes place this year from July 20 to 22 and is being held at the festival grounds of the Max Bell Centre.
The event will be open to all ages and admission is free – you simply pay for the ribs you’d like to eat.
It’s a prime opportunity to sample some of Calgary’s best in ribs, BBQ chicken, and pulled pork, all in one place. Pounds and pounds of meat will be smoked and cooked right before your eyes from five different vendors.
In addition to the food, there will also be live music, craft beer and wine, and in prior years the festival has held a pulled pork eating contest.
