Dog Auditions: The theatre is calling for your best friend

Do you have a friendly canine? — if you do, then Theatre Calgary wants to know.

They are looking for two well tempered, talented pooches who are willing and available to audition for The Two Gentlemen of Verona, a play by Shakespeare.

Here’s the chance to give your pooch the biggest break of their career! Auditions will run for two hours on May 25, 2018, and successful dogs will need to attend rehearsals from June 12 to 29.

What they are looking for

• Dogs with calm/subdued temperaments
• Responsive to basic commands
• Able to stay focussed in distracting environments
• Must be available for the whole rehearsal and performance period.

The chosen pups will then perform from June 29 to August 19, Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7 pm, Sundays at 2 pm and 7 pm, with shows running 90 minutes in length.

(No performances the week of July 24 – 29, due to Calgary Folk Festival)
