Calcutta Cricket Club: New Indian restaurant opens soon on 17th Ave
The Calcutta Cricket Club is the newest eatery on 17 Avenue, and it’s officially opening on July 6.

This fresh spot will offer Indian food and drink inspired by the West Bengal state in India out of the former Bar C space at 340 17 Avenue.
While we haven’t gotten our hands on the menu here yet, the restaurant teases bar snacks, cocktails, kati rolls, kebabs, curries, and biryanis – oh and jungle cats – whatever that means.
Cody Willis of Native Tongues is one of the folks behind this project, along with partner Maya Gohill, who is taking care of all of the interior and decor aspects of the space.
The Instagram of Calcutta implies this spot is going to be a feast for the tastebuds and the eyes.
