Craft beer enthusiasts, get ready for the ultimate beer bonanza.

The fifth annual Whistler Village Beer Festival is returning to the mountain resort for five days of festivities from Wednesday, September 13 to Sunday, September 17.

And since this event is celebrating an anniversary milestone, it’s set to be bigger and better than ever before.

The festival will be featuring more than 120 beers from 60 breweries, so there’s certainly plenty of tasting to be done. You’ll get to enjoy live music, cask nights, food, and of course drinks throughout the festival, and during the Main Event at Olympic Plaza on Saturday and Sunday.

Located at the base of world-class mountains, the Whistler Village Beer Festival is the perfect place to test your craft beer expertise and to open your tastebuds to different kinds of hoppy brews like ales, lagers, and stouts.

But there’s much more than solely beer at the festival. You can attend things like beer yoga, tap takeovers, hit up food pairing events, choose between mouth-watering food truck options, cider mills, and much more.

Save money by snapping up a regular Flex Pass for $59 that gives you access to both the Saturday and Sunday Main Events. Or, purchase tickets for Sunday’s Main Event for just $35. Oh, and if you purchase a pass for Saturday, you’ll get 10 free tokens plus complementary admission to the event on Sunday.

This year’s event will see 60 breweries compete for draught and bottle contracts in Whistler. The top three are decided based on based on redeemed token weight and there will also be a people’s choice selection in which you can vote for your favourite brewery at the main event.

Master crafters challenge: Battle of the Sours

A favourite amongst beer lovers, this event takes place on Friday evening and selects breweries to bring their best beer of a select style forward so that guests can blindly sample each one and cast their votes to decide the champion brewer. This year will showcase a growing trend in the craft beer world; sours.
