It’s no secret that Whistler Blackcomb is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders alike.

Of course, it’s also extremely popular with the resident wildlife.

And when these two worlds combine – even just for a couple of seconds – it’s truly an amazing moment.

Such was the case for Jaime Stein, who had just such an encounter this weekend, and posted the moment to Twitter.

Making the moment even more incredible? Stein didn’t just ski around one bear – he swerved around what looked to be a mother and her cub.

“It’s not every day that you have to ski around bear on the hill!” he tweets.

Yeah, we’re going to have to agree with him on this one.

Although runs are still open for skiing at the resort, we’re also well into spring now, which means bears are slowly, but steadily waking up from their hibernation.

Should you have your own encounter with wildlife – bear or otherwise – remember that they are in fact, wild animals, and as such, should not be disturbed, approached, fed, bothered, or harassed.

Mother Nature will thank you for it.
