Whistler Blackcomb named best ski resort in North America again

Whistler Blackcomb has been named the top ski resort in Canada for the third year running by SKI Magazine.

SKI Magazine’s Resort Survey asked around 15,000 people to rank the top 50 North American ski resorts in 18 categories covering the full resort experience.

In a release, publisher Allen Crolius said today’s skiers are demanding more from their ski vacations.

“[They’re] looking for a wide range of amenities on and off the snow,” said Crolius. “Whistler Blackcomb, with fantastic skiing across two mountains, and vibrant base villages, delivers on all fronts.”

Dave Brownlie, Whistler Blackcomb President and CEO, said this is a massive victory for the resort.

“Our vision at Whistler Blackcomb is to be the No. 1 mountain resort in the world,” said Brownlie.

“Whistler as a community is dedicated to providing an outstanding guest experience and it’s nice to see the public opinion reflecting these efforts.”

The first sprinkling of snow already settled around Whistler Peak and Horstman Hut on Blackcomb at the start of September.
