Vancouver could be about to get five whole days of sunshine

Vancouver could be about to get five whole days of sunshine, after the snowfall warning in place since Wednesday has ended.

A snowfall and winter storm warning was issued by Environment Canada, with up to 15 cm of snow expected over the last day.

But as of Thursday, that warning has been cancelled, and Vancouver is surrounded by some classic drizzly, rainy mist and cloud – for now.

Because if you can just hold on until Saturday, you could be in for a sunshine-filled weekend, according to the latest forecast.

Environment Canada is now forecasting sunshine all the way through from Saturday, December 30 to Wednesday, January 3.

And it’s not just Environment Canada – Accuweather and the Weather Network agree, although you might have to wait until Sunday for the sun to appear.

What a way to start the New Year, Vancouver!
