Verdura: Salad shop setting up on Main Street
Look out salad lovers! Verdura, a seasonally-driven salad shop, is set to open soon in the former Baguette & Co. space on Main Street in Mount Pleasant.
Verdura is aiming to be Vancouver’s “premier destination for healthy & innovative garden salads,” they say, noting that the restaurant’s goals reach further than what’s on their tables. The restaurant wants to: “inspire & encourage healthy lifestyles through eating authentic natural foods & to build long lasting relationships with our team members, farmers & community neighbours.”
On the menu will be “garden based” salads that “are not your typical lettuce salad,” made with “local, organic and sustainable products.”
Verdura hasn’t offered teasers of any specific dishes on their carefully curated and presented Instagram feed, so we’ll have to stay tuned to find out what they are dishing up in the salad department, besides lettuce.
They will open on July 14.
