Oh-so Vancouver: Yoga Expo coming to the city in October

Sep 15 2016, 12:07 am

The most Vancouver thing ever is happening in October: A Yoga Expo is is set to hit the Convention Centre.

We can practically hear the heart palpitations of yogis all over the city right now.

This is (surprisingly) the first time the Yoga Expo has come to Vancouver, and it seems there’s a great lineup for those who loves to stretch and align their chakras.

Featuring a 50,000 square foot yoga-themed marketplace, guests will also have unlimited access to yoga and meditation, programs, live music, and sustainable food samples.

The expo has been travelling throughout the US and Canada since January of this year to “enact social change through their daily choices,” says founder Kyle Michaud.

“I started the Yoga Expo because I wanted to create a community where students and teachers have the opportunity to connect,” he says. “Students take classes with local and international teachers, explore our yoga-themed marketplace, and enjoy a day of mindfulness.”

Other highlights include yoga and essential oils classes, jewelry designers, and a talk with a local hot yoga instructor.

Tickets are $35 for the day, or $60 for a weekend pass.
