WTF – What the Fun!

  • What: With the aid of audience suggestions, WTF  takes its inspiration from the quirky stories found in the weekly news and on-line. Part of the show features ‘re-interpretations’ of fun times had by audience members with performers adding their own humorous and unpredictable spin to their Instagram photos or written anecdotes.

Andrew Schulz

  • What: A native New Yorker and internationally touring stand-up, Andrew Schulz is known for his hilarious and unapologetic comedy. Andrew’s debut album 5:5:1 launched in June 2018 as the #1 comedy album and #19 album across all genres on iTunes. He recently starred in the sitcom Benders (now available on Netflix), can be seen in Amazon’s Sneaky Pete and the new season of HBO’s Crashing.

A Wrinkle In Time

  • What: The classic children’s adventure fantasy novel comes vividly to life at Civic Plaza as the City of North Vancouver presents the Disney live-action hit A Wrinkle In Time at the annual Family Movie Nights in the Plaza. Before the movie begins there’s lots of family-friendly activities, piano sing-alongs, face painting, entertainment and a bike rodeo.

Cultus Lake Summer Nightslide Concerts 2018

  • What: You can now slip and slide later and later into the night this summer, with nighttime sliding at BC’s biggest waterpark. Separate from their daytime operation, the summer nightslide runs from 8 pm until midnight and includes several live bands playing through the course of the evening. Artists on Friday, August 17 include the North Country Gentleman and Terrance Richmond. Admission to Cultus Waterpark’s Summer Nightslide costs $22 per person (plus tax) and is considered to be separate from regular admission purchase. Visitors must enter the waterslide before 9:30 pm as late entry will not be permitted.

The Fair at the PNE

10th Annual Richmond Garlic Fest

  • What: Chefs from a number of restaurants in Richmond and Vancouver will be volunteering their time to bring festival-goers a selection of garlic-based delights, including garlic ice cream – a must try for any garlic lover.
