Everybody’s always talking about the night before Christmas, but what about the morning after?

No one wants to wake up on the 25th to a sink full of dishes, empty bottles of wine, and Christmas crackers in shambles on the hardwood, but we all want to live it up before Saint Nick makes a stop at our homes.

Luckily, there are some Vancouver restaurants serving delicious dinners on the 24th, so you can move your Christmas Eve dinner party to one of these venues and live it up with no fear of having to clean up the aftermath of the ‘night before’ festivities.

For Christmas Eve Boulevard is offering a festive three-course menu that is available in addition to their seasonal à la carte menu which features a spiced pumpkin soup, slow-roasted turkey with pine nut, apricot, and brioche stuffing, Yukon gold potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, and pistachio and cherry Bûche de Noël for dessert. Reservations can be made online or by phone.

Head to the second floor of the Fairmont Pacific Rim to enjoy ORU’s last Christmas Eve Buffet before the restaurant closes its doors in early January. Forage’s special holiday dinner is only available the 24th and 25th of December. This meal features grilled kale salad with caramelized apples, a charcuterie board with cured meats and salmon, a roasted Fraser Valley turkey with all the trimmings, and for dessert, sticky toffee pudding with ginger eggnog ice cream. The holiday tasting menu at The Hawksworth will be available from Dec 23rd to the 30th, meaning this delicious spread will indeed be offered on Christmas Eve. The festive feast will feature poached prawns, pan roasted scallops, beef neck cavatelli, and Fraser Valley pheasant breast or sablefish as a main.
