FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Thousands of Vancouverites started the New Year “fresh” by plunging into the freezing cold waters of English Bay on Friday afternoon.
The event takes places at English Bay annually on New Year’s Day and is just four years away from its 100th anniversary, which will be in 2020.
Some brave participants wore only a speedo or bikini into the waters while others got creative (there was even a giant multi-person moose costume).
On the shoreline, thousands more watched the spectacle, including friends and family members who were there to cheer on and support their relatives after the dip.
