10,000 people expected at tonight's Parade of Lost Souls

Oct 29 2016, 3:20 pm

Spend tonight with the most performance minded spirits, spectres, and ghouls in Vancouver at the Parade of Lost Souls.

Hosted by the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret, the Parade of the Lost Souls is one of the most anticipated events of the Halloween season. Featuring jugglers, actors, singers, musicians, acrobats, and more, the Parade serves as an inclusive celebration of the arts for thousands of spectators each year.

Over 10,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event, which begins at 7 pm.

“We share this landscape with creatures of all sort, both the animal kingdom of our wild west coast, and the fantastical creatures we’ve seen in our stories and our dreams,” reads the event description.

“Let the creatures of story and dreams come alive…perform a wild feat. Bring a wild invention. Dress up as your favourite local species. Parade your inner animal through the streets!”

The exact location of this year’s parade remained a secret until early this morning, with organizers announcing that the parade procession will begin at Commercial and Napier streets and end around a campfire at Britannia Secondary School.
