Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver fireworks returns for spectacular countdown to 2018

Revellers looking to ring in 2018 before the clock strikes midnight only have to descend to the Coal Harbour waterfront on December 31.

For the third consecutive year, Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver’s fireworks celebration, free outdoor street party, and premium indoor party will enable Vancouverites and visitors to kick off the New Year in proper fashion.

The event would not be possible without its partners and sponsors, such as local developer Concord Pacific, which is returning this year as the title sponsor of the celebration.

The event is one of Canada’s largest NYE celebrations in terms of both programming and attendance. In fact, last year’s event attracted over 100,000 attendees.

A massive free outdoor celebration

For the celebration to mark the arrival of 2018, there will be two outdoor stages, four pop-up performance zones, 20 of the city’s best food trucks, and the continued tradition of two impressive, high-aerial fireworks displays.

The street festival will be held along Canada Place Way between Canada Place and Jack Poole Plaza.

And to celebrate the occasion’s climax, there will be a five-minute Family Fireworks Countdown display at 9 pm, followed by the 12-minute Midnight Finale Fireworks at 12 am.

Vancouver’s only indoor NYE party with fireworks

This year, Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver will be offering three premium ticketed experiences held inside the beautiful Vancouver Convention Centre West Building (VCC West).

The indoor party features multiple entertainment stages and activities for revellers of all ages:

Family Zone

For guests with families and kids, your Family Zone Pass includes the RE/MAX Family Zone located in VCC West.

This colourful family fun area includes a special “Kids Can Dance” party hosted by Rockin’ Robin and Alyssa Nielsen from As You Wish. Kids activities include party hats, noisemakers, face painting, balloon drop and the special Family Fireworks Countdown at 9 pm.

Celebration Pass

Pick up your celebration pass and bring your party indoors to the VCC West with two huge party rooms including the YVR World Stage featuring DJ Flip-Out and the Decibel Collective.

The JR-FM Party Stage will feature Vancouver’s favourite urban country DJ, jaXon Hawks spinning the ultimate party playlist, plus two live sets and more.  The Coast Capital Stage will feature The Freshest and DJ Goodspin.

VIP Experience

Upgrade your party to our ultimate VIP Area in VCC West’s stunning ballroom, which features the floor-to-ceiling waterfront windows for the incredible fireworks displays.
