What: The ninth annual authentic German-inspired Christmas Market creates the perfect atmosphere to get into the holiday spirit. Experience a selection of traditional food and beverages, and browse vendors offering authentic wood carvings and toys, knitted goods, nutcrackers, pottery, and other unique gifts. There will be kids activities, live entertainment, and the opportunity to ride downtown Vancouver’s only Christmas Carousel.

Toad-ally Awesome

What: Frogger is no game for our native amphibians who face life and death when they migrate across roads. Hear about real Frogger-challenges from biologist Aleesha Switzer.  View a short segment from the Wilderness Committee’s documentary Toad People then venture outside to search for amphibians. Ages eight and up.

Improv Against Humanity: Epic 8th Anniversary

What: The Fictionals are celebrating an Epic 8th Anniversary at Improv Against Humanity at The Rio Theatre, and everyone is invited to the party. Enjoy a live CAH tournament, hilarious comedy, prizes and birthday cake, and more.

Disney On Ice: “Dare to Dream”

What: The ever-popular production will feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse as hosts, as well as characters from Disney’s Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Tangled, Cinderella, and many more. And of course, what would a Disney show be without a sing-a-long to go with some mesmerizing skating performances? In addition to the main show, a sing-a-long with Miguel from Disney Pixar’s Coco will take place prior to each show.

Merry Kiss-mas

What: Vancouver TheatreSport’s cheeky, affectionate homage to onscreen Christmas nostalgia, stuffed with a turkey-full of big belly laughs. The show’s first half takes suggestions from the audience to recreate well-known holiday movie scenes and characters. That’s followed by a completely improvised, audience-driven second half in which the cast create a brand new festive special.
