Italian Day 2018

Join thousands of Vancouverites in a celebration of all things Italian as Commercial Drive will transform into a vibrant 14-block car-free zone, featuring over 150 merchants, food vendors, and entertainment.

Lions Club Sockeye Run Car Show

  • What: The 28th Annual Sockeye Run Car Show features classic cars, music, and entertainment. There will be Hot Wheels racing in the park, plus a model building workshop for kids with a model contest following. Free parking available at the Steveston Community Centre.

Mount Pleasant Farmers’ Market

Wild About Burnaby Lake

Introduction to Sourdough

  • What: No one can teach you how to make sourdough, beginning to end, in 2 hours. But in this demonstration event, you will learn the basics: how to care for your starter, how to knead, rest and cook a loaf, with 3 stages of the making presented. You get to go home with a sample of sourdough starter (bring your jar), a piece of loaf, and recipes.
