Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber at Science World

  • What: See Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber from the film Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The famous film prop is being featured as part of The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! exhibition at Science World.

Vancouver Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018

  • What: The event will feature over 80 shows that highlight the Fall and Winter collections of both national and international designers. This season’s line-up features brands from 15 different countries, including designers from Australia, Japan, the United States, Italy, Ghana, and of course – Canada.

Spice World Live Drag Cast

  • What: Spice World comes alive onstage at the Rio Theatre, with a live shadowcast featuring Vancouver’s own Spice Gurlz. Audience costumes and participation is welcomed and encouraged at this event.

Spring Break at H.R. MacMillan Space Centre: The Next Giant Leap

  • What: Do you have what it takes to be a Mars colonist or an asteroid geologist? Head to H.R. MacMillan Space Centre over Spring Break to learn about living on Mars the future of space exploration. They will have family friendly activities running daily and are premiering the film Asteroid Mission Extreme in the Planetarium Star Theatre.

The P*rn Project

  • What: In collaboration with Studio 58 and Langara College’s Risky Nights Series, Neworld Theatre is developing a new work that asks, “What does it mean to have grown up with the internet and readily available representations of sexuality?” In this workshop performance, Neworld collaborates with Studio 58’s fourth term students to explore the personal, social, and ideological consequences of growing up as part of the first generation with unfettered and on-demand access to internet pornography.
