Nothing says summer like a sizzling BBQ. From Korean barbecue joints to melt-in-your-mouth ribs, we chose some of this city’s most delicious grilled cuts that’ll keep your stomach and budget satisfied.

Memphis Blues Barbecue House

Barbecue is a staple in the South, and few places do it better than in Memphis. Two Vancouverites fell in love with the cuisine on a layover in Memphis and decided to bring it back to Canada. And just like that, Memphis Blues was born. Drop by and grab the small rib ends for $8.75. Hungry? Go one sizer bigger for $9.95.

Yakinikuya Japanese BBQ

In Japanese, yakiniku means “grilled meat,” which is what this place is all about. From seasoned beef, pork and chicken to grilled vegetables and fresh sashimi, Yakinkuya has it all. Try their Toro Beef for $7, or their Juicy Kalbi for $8.

Cambie Bar and Grill

If you’re in the mood for cheap pub food, head to a Gastown staple, The Cambie Bar & Grill. The mini BBQ pulled pork sandwich is available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for just $5. You could also opt for the Cambie Burger with either a beef, grilled chicken breast, or homemade veggie patty for $8.75.

Back Forty
