Canada’s longest-running burlesque festival returns to Vancouver for another year this spring.

The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival has been showcasing the finest local and international talent since 2006.

A series of special events are scheduled for the annual four-day festival, taking place from Wednesday March 29, until Saturday, April 1, including:

  • Tit Talks: An evening of Ted-style talks presented by esteemed performers, academics, and producers.
  • The International Cabaret: An unforgettable night of glitz and glamour with burlesque talent from coast to coast and beyond.
  • Vancouver Uncovered: An evening of comedy, magic, music, seduction, and innovative performance art.

The art of burlesque is “ever-evolving,” said festival spokesperson, Lola Frost.

“It’s more than just tassel twirling and bumping n’ grinding. It’s innovating ways to showcase sensuality, sex appeal and satire. Every year this festival offers a new element of burlesque never seen before by Vancouver audiences.”
